What type of insulation is right for you?

Choosing the right insulation can be a daunting task while you take into consideration the cost of the material, how effective an insulation material will it be, and will it end up saving you money in the long-run. Air-Tite insulation offers three types of insulation that will work perfect for any home or commercial building.

Spray foam Fiberglass Cellulose

“Leaders in Spray Foam Insulation”

Easy Installation – Lifelong Efficiency

Sealection® 500 has been Demilec’s flagship product for more than 20 years, and has positioned Demilec as an industry-leading spray foam insulation manufacturer. As an environmentally-friendly product, it

delivers superior performance, energy savings, and is an excellent return on investment for architects, builders, contractors, and homeowners, making it the ideal choice for insulation.

Sealection 500 is a cutting-edge formula of open-cell spray foam insulation, which expands 120 times its liquid volume to insulate and seal all cracks, gaps, and joints with a single application, and is easy to install and finish. It has dramatically increased energy efficiency for millions of residential and commercial property owners. This translates to a high-performing product for builders, shorter application, and finishing times for contractors, and lower energy bills for homeowners and commercial building owners.

Sealection 500 is a spray-applied adhesive, which once applied, expands in place using water-blown technology, without CFCs, HCFCs, or ozone-depleting chemicals. Unlike traditional fiberglass insulation, Sealection 500 will maintain its performance; time and temperature have no effect on the spray foam insulation’s R-value of 3.81 at 1 inch. Sealection 500 never deteriorates or decomposes. The product retains its shape and half-pound density over time, and never settles or compacts.

Highlights of Demilec Sealection 500:

– Contains no ozone-depleting chemicals, gases, fibers, or asbestos

– Changes the building envelope design, which allows builders and contractors to right-size HVAC systems, which typically results in using smaller HVAC systems.

– Can cut heating and cooling costs as much as 50 percent

– Minimizes outside noise, as airborne noise can no longer easily pass through walls

– Less dust and allergens enter the environment due to the airtight seal.

– Maintains peak performance; it never deteriorates or decomposes.

Knauf Insulation

“It’s time to save Energy”

The Next Generation of Sustainable Insulation. . .

Think of it as green, only browner Knauf EcoBatt® Insulation doesn’t look like any insulation you’ve ever seen, but that’s because its natural brown color represents a level of sustainability we’ve never before achieved.

EcoBatt Insulation combines sand, one of the world’s most abundant and renewable resources, post-consumer recycled bottle glass and ECOSE Technology to create the next generation of sustainable insulation…naturally from Knauf.

Knauf EcoBatt Insulation are cost-effective thermal and acoustical barriers for energy-efficient construction. Their consistent quality, low dust, and clean-cutting resilient fibers make fabrication easy and installation fast. The products can be used in new and retrofit wood and metal frame applications in residential and commercial structures, as well as in manufactured housing applications. These applications include thermal and acoustical treatments to walls, ceilings, and floors.

Knauf offers a full line of standard and high-density batts and blankets with a wide range of sizes and R-values. Available unfaced, or with kraft or flame-rated (FSK) foil facings, Knauf’s residential insulation can be used for cavity walls, floors, ceilings, attics, basements, and crawl spaces. It is highly resilient, recovering quickly to full thickness. It also greatly reduces the transmission of noise in the house.

Light Commercial

This full line of standard and high-density batts and blankets for wood and metal frame construction is available unfaced or with kraft, foil, or flame-rated (FSK) foil facings. Knauf EcoBatt QuietTherm Insulation can improve STC ratings in wood stud construction by 3 to 5 points and in metal stud construction by 8 to 10 points, depending on the complexity of the wall configuration and layers of insulation. Knauf’s commercial building insulation can be used for exterior and partition walls, floors, crawl spaces, and a variety of ceiling applications.

Manufactured Housing

Knauf Manufactured Housing Insulation is a full line of batts and blankets with a wide range of R-values, lengths, and widths. It is designed to work efficiently with pre-manufactured structures of all widths. Available unfaced in widths up to 192″ (4.88 m) or with kraft facing in widths up to 24″ (610 mm), it can be used for cavity walls, floors, and ceiling applications. And QuietTherm sound batts are available for partition walls.

Knauf’s full line of retail batts and blankets comes in a wide range of sizes and R-values, and is available unfaced or with kraft facing. Most blankets are conveniently perforated every 94″ (2.39 m) to make installation in standard 8′ walls a snap, or they can be used as-is to insulate long runs like floor or ceiling areas. This highly resilient insulation recovers quickly for a snug fit and assured thermal performance. Knauf’s retail roll packaging has easy-to-identify R-value and application information to help your customers find the right product quickly.

Applegate Insulation

“Turning Yesterday’s News into Tomorrow’s Insulation.”

Naturally Superior Insulation

Applegate Stabilized Cellulose Insulation is formulated from recycled paper fibers and is treated for fire resistance, resulting in lasting thermal performance and reassuring safety. With a self-contained dry adhesive, Applegate Stabilized Insulation is designed to be damp-sprayed into and completely fill and insulate walls and attic voids by forming a unique structural conforming seamless blanket to significantly reduce the flow of heat, virtually eliminate air infiltration and airborne sound transmissions.

Applegate Stabilized Cellulose Insulation will reduce your utility bill through two means. One it greatly reduces the flow heat into and out of your own home & secondly it also significantly reduces the amount of air which can enter your home. Outside air which enters a building can carry; the outside temperature, moisture and pollutants into a home, causing high utility bills as well as structural damage or even health problems. Applegate Insulation, by reducing air infiltration, also helps to keep the conditioned air already inside your home where it belongs!

Applegate Stabilized Cellulose Insulation is field proven with Applegate’s Spray-In Insulation System; a comprehensive and advanced installation system designed for use in wall cavities, attics and between floors.

Applegate Cellulose Insulation is a premium building material that is renowned for its superior low-dust formula. The key benefit, and the primary reason why Applegate developed the industry low dust formulation, is that it allows for a quicker installation; allowing installers to stay on top of their game as there is less hassle and annoyance to preoccupy their minds. The reduced installation time also means that installers have less time to become physically tired, so the installation quality is generally better. It’s just one of the many lessons we learned from our years of being an insulation contractor.

Applegate is also made from up to 85% recycled paper, natural dust inhibitors and BurnBarrier™ fire retardant; we at Applegate mean it when we say “Naturally Better Insulation.”
